Our clothing store. The original Beats flagship since 2003. Check out our clothing and footwear selection, ranging from established names to the next big brands – Carhartt : Obey : Huf : Rip N Dip : Polar and many more. Friendly in-store service from the guys in the shop comes as standard and safety in the knowledge that we have been doing this for 15 years and know our s**t!
NO 9…
Our coffee shop. We are one of those little gems you are happy to discover. Bland chain shop coffee shop we ain’t! Providers of seriously good coffee made from organic beans to takeaway or drink in and hang out with. Our repertoire also includes the tastiest smoothies and milkshakes and accompanying treats including homemade cakes to make you go double Mmmmm!
… and Skateboard Hardware store. Yes, same space, different product (the world leader in this combo we believe!). Beyond the coffee bar, we have an Aladdin’s cave of skate hardware, stocked with all the best skate brands. Added value to the customer experience is the guidance and advice that can only come from a skater owned business – with a smile every time!
Coffee n Skate – a unique space to meet up and hang out, or just supply your habit for quality caffeine, fruity drinks, and tasty snacks. Also check out our ongoing programme of events including Skate Film nights, Art shows, Coffee brewing lessons, and music sessions… You won’t believe how versatile we can get!
A bit about us:
Beats was opened in 2003 by a young local skater with a dream: To build a space where people would come to buy skateboards, vinyl and tee shirts. And they did, and they kept coming too!
As a hub for the street sports and creative communities of Barnstaple North Devon, it was a natural progression to reach out and get involved with local events and happenings.
Over the course of 15 years, Beats has had a hand in skate events, jams and comps across the North Devon region as well as getting involved in music – from raves to radio shows – art and a whole lot of culture in between.
From the start, Beats has always been more than a place to buy rad products and always stepped up to be a part of the community around us. Whole generations have passed through the Beats doors on their way to achieving amazing things and we look forward to welcoming plenty generations more!
